Gabriel's Angels Pet Therapy

Gabriel's Angels Pet Therapy serves as a foundation for teaching children compassion, and trust once again. These valuable life skills are necessary to ensure each child's brigth future, as well as enable them to become productive members of the community. Their mission is to end the cycle of violence for these defenseless children who are victims of abuse and neglect.

Tucson International Alliance of Refugee Communities

Tucson International Alliance of Refugee Communities, Inc. (TIARC) is a non-profit community-based organization, that has been providing services to gobal refugees residing in Tucson since 1995. The mission of TIARC is to promote the wellbeing of refugees by assisting them to become self-sufficient and integrated in the American society. This is accomplished through enhancement and strengthening of friendship and collaboration between TIARC and other communities and agencies in the United States.

Shoebox Ministry

Shoebox Ministry, Inc. is a non-profit service corporation, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. They were founded in October of 1988 with a specific goal of meeting the personal hygiene needs of the homeless and working poor. They are the only agency in the greater Phoeinx area that focuses on meeting this need by distributing toiletry kits through agencies and shelters that work directly with the homeless and working poor. What was once a city-wide program has now become a nation wide program.


The World Hunger Education, Advocacy & Training organization (WHEAT) was established in 1979. It has effectively and consistently partnered with the state and national organizations, agencies and faith communities to fight hunger and its related issues within Arizona and around the world. The mission of WHEAT is to educate, advocate, motivate and empower individuals to action in the fight against hunger. WHEAT operates a Clothes Silo to provide clothing to poor working women.

Timber Trails Children's Projects

Timber Trails Children Project is an organization that provides outdoor recreation and educational enrichment at no charge for Phoenix youth living below the poverty level. Timber Trails' campers come from Arizona's neediest and the toughest neighborhoods. Many are hungry and homeless; even more are freightened and discouraged. Timber Trails opens the doors to success and opportunity for these children in need of a helping hand.

Asian Pacific Community in Action

Asian Pacific Community in Action was established in 2002 as an outgrowth of the Chinese Linguistic School of Phoenix (CLSP) outreach and education health program. In partnership with the Asian Health Initiative Coalition, CLSP convened an advisory working group to establish a non-profit organization with the purpose of planning and implementing activities that will enhance the health, education and quality of professional and personal life for the Asian Pacific community in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Foster Angels of Arizona Serving Together Inc.

Foster Angels of Arizona Serving Together Inc. (FAAST) is committed to developing opportunities that will help foster children break out of the cycle of abuse and poverty. FAAST was established in September 2000 by a group of foster parents who came together with the goal of enriching the lives of foster children by providing opportunities that the overburdened state system could not offer. All programs and services offered rely on the commitment of volunteers and community members who contribute both their time and financial resources.

The WellCare Foundation

The WellCare foundation opened its doors in 1999 to provide pro bono comprehensive health care and wellness education to underserved single working mothers and their children. The fundamentals principle of the WellCare approach to healing is to treat the whole person- physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. This approach acknowledges and honors the unique nature and needs of each woman or child served.

Arizona Rising Suns Track Club

The Arizona Rising Suns Track Club was formed to provide after school athletic activities for inner city and at risk children, from 5 to 18 years of age. Children are taught that the most important kind of success resides in their ability to improve personally, give their maximum effort and be the best that they can be. All coaches volunteer their time and talent in order to provide these opportunities.

Payson Community Kids

Payson Community Kids, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that assists families and children at risk. They achieve their mission (in cooperation with exisitng agencies) by helping children become good citizens, providing food and clothing as needed (St. Vincent de Paul's Food Bank), providing school supplies and basic needs (Wallace Foundation), having regular meetings with art, sports and community projects (Valley Giving Circle) and by providing a positive adult role model (local churches and service clubs).
